Cherry Ice Cream Recipe

Cherry ice cream is one of the most recognisable tastes of summer, this refreshing dessert also has an incredible summer colour which makes for great presentation
CHERRY ICE CREAM INGREDIENTS
- 350g stoneless frozen Cherries
- 1 egg yolk (large)
- 1 small tin (approx 375g) sweetened condensed milk
- 300 ml thickened or heavy cream
- 6 tablespoons white sugar
- Thaw cherries then chop roughly and set aside.
- In a medium saucepan whisk the yolk, condensed milk cream and sugar over a medium heat until well combined bring to gentle simmer and then add cherries (and any cherry juices that have thawed).
- Stir for a further 5 minutes.
- Take mixture off heat immediately and allow to cool thoroughly.
Churn and then freeze
